[hairstyle] New Hair Look before New Year

I just got my hair cut and dyed before New Year!

So I think I could talk about the hair salon I always go in Bangkok.

The salon is owned and run by a Japanese stylist, who also has three branches in Tokyo, Japan.

The ones on Japan are called HAIR SALON boy.

In Bangkok, it's called Rikyu by boy tokyo, and there're two branches here;

one is located on Sukhumvit 49 and the other is on Siam Square Soi 1.

Back in Taiwan, I went to the hair salon also owned by Japanese, so I think it's better I stay with it.

As I know, BOY also do some art and charity events related to hair styling

not also in Japan but also in Thailand.

Here are the photos of my new hair style and color!

My hair used to be very short like a boy and with bang.

In order to keep this kind of natural and bob hairstyle,

I haven't had my hair cut for 6 months until now.

The color is kind of ash-grey color.

Actually I have my hair dyed with two kinds of colors;

the top is chocolate brown and the bottom is ash-grey, closes to black but with greyish look.

Before this look, my hair color was also two-toned but with bleached beige brown color.

Bleach is cool, but really bad for my hair,

so I have to give up doing another bleached colors this time. T^T

Oh, my stylist is a female Japanese called Satomi.

Most of them can speak Thai and English,

and there're also some Thai stylists and assistants; all of them are really nice and talented.

If you don't trust the local hair salon, I think you can give Japanese hair salons for a shot.

Japanese who live in Bangkok can have the same skills of hair styling just like in Japan.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !

Wish all of you have another wonderful year.

Here are the photos from Asiatique the Riverfront in Bangkok.

It's a new night market by Chao Phraya River.

I'll have a month off for holiday from January 3.

I'm going back to Taipei, Taiwan (my hometown),

and then I'll go to Tokyo, Japan for my friends' wedding.

I'll keep updating my blog as usual since I still have a lot of drafts to edit. :P

What's more, I'll also try to write something about Taiwan and Japan when I'm there.

Back to Bangkok on February 14.

Happy holidays, fellows!

[food] Roast Coffee & Eatery

Roast Coffee & Eatery is one of the busiest cafes in Bangkok.

I've heard that the owner used to run a cafe called 'Ohana Fresh Cafe', serving good brunch.

However, it was closed couple months ago, and here comes 'Roast Coffee & Eatery'.

The space is quite big and bright. Each table also equipped with sockets.

There are a lot of choices from the menu, not just drinks and pastries,

but also some nice dishes like salads, tapas, pasta, breakfast and brunch and so on.

Haven't tried their dishes yet. I'll try next time, when my Japanese friends visit Bangkok.

When I was considering what to order,

I noticed that almost every table has ordered the popular strawberry waffles.

Though I'm female, I'm not a huge strawberry fans. Besides, I'm not that interested in waffles,

I prefer pancakes and crepes actually.

So, I just ordered a lime pie and Early Grey tea with lychee and mint.

They are pretty good. I just relaxed, enjoying my food and reading my magazine.

(By the way, it's August I stopped by I supposed.)

In my opinion, I think there's an easy way to define if this cafe is good or not;

that's to order a simple tea (or coffee) and traditional cake or pie (means not fancy, cute desserts).

If their chef is good, of course he/she can make simple desserts taste marvelous.

To sum up, it's a nice cafe serving with good food.

I think it can satisfy you no matter you are a foodie or sweet lover.

However, it's just crowded every day;

people even have to stay in line to wait a table, quite exhausting though.

I'm not sure if they accept reservation, but better call before heading, especially on weekends.

[style] Brandy Melville shopping

Black Friday - Cyber Monday was crazy.

I got some discount for Cyber Monday of Brandy Melville last month.

Their tees and accessories are cute, but about shipping worldwide,

uh, the price isn't friendly and they use FEDEX, meaning custom taxing problem.

I love my new HAMSA tank. The pattern is braided, and the fabric looks old like vintage.

Sorry for the late upadte!

Here's Aof, who is majoring in Fashion Design in Bangkok.

With his own designed and made clothes and skirt,

he looks amazing, doesn't he?

The shirt is the combination of the traditional shirt and the collar of polo-shirt.

His skirt is made of leather and chiffon with symmetrical cut.

I was totally blow away by his clutch and Jeffrey Campbell transparent creeper when I met him.

Aof does have his own attitude!

[food] Cinnabon in Bangkok

I've tried Cinnabon twice or more times quite a long time ago,

and I just realized Cinnabon is back to Japan again last month.

I love everything made with cinnamon, and I also miss my aunty's hand-made cinnamon rolls. :(

Although I've heard that Cinnabon in Thailand is not as good as it in other countries,

I decided to give it a shot!

OK, they already look different, not tempting at all!

The taste is wrong and the frosting is awful.

Though it's quite cheap,

I think I won't buy them again unless I really wanna have them. :P

Thanks to the iPhone apps and filters, the picture above did look yummy.Not a bad idea at all to try one if you really miss Cinnabon. The caramel ones are better than the classic ones!

Here is the Harajuku-style boy, Tawan. :)

The fashion in Thailand is really unique;

sometimes you can find Korean fashion, sometimes Japanese fashion,

but both of the styles combines Thai's culture and street style.

The thai-dyed t-shirt is so cute that it caught my eyes immediately.

I also love the socks and the hat.

I admire people who take socks or stocking as part of fashion.
